Comments: There's only 2 things at a wedding that guests care about and will remember: good food and a good DJ. We've all been to weddings where the DJ pronounced all the names wrong, played the wrong song at the wrong time, or lacked the ability to read the crowd and keep the reception fun. My husband and I took 3 months to choose a DJ. We looked at prices, but more importantly, we talked to the DJs and people who had used them. Almost immediately after contacting DJ Garry we knew he was the one for us. It was the combination of his personality, professionalism and his absolute dedication to give us the reception WE wanted. And it was fabulous. He understood that a DJ doesn't just show up, play some tunes and eat your food. It's his job to keep the party going. DJ Garry made a point to make sure he pronounced all the names correctly on the introductions (and we had a few Polish and Portuguese doozies). He made sure everyone stayed on the dance floor and he played everything we wanted when we wanted. His website was user friendly and he has his song database online, so we were able to pick all of our favorite songs whenever we wanted, and he sent us a link to send to our friends so they could pick songs too. Comments: We can't say enough good things about DC Sound. Although we originally thought that a staff of 3 was overkill for a small wedding, they proved us wrong. Having a DJ, a Master of Ceremonies AND a Wedding Coordinator made my day as mother of the bride, almost totally worry free. The 3 of them took such good care of the bridal party and our guests that I was able to enjoy the festivities and leave all the worry and work in their hands. When you book with DC Sound, you aren't just getting a DJ. They coordinated everything for us, ceremony, guest seating, moving guests from ceremony to reception, moving flowers, missing/late guests, watching the clock to keep things on schedule, gifts, candy table,grooms cake,you name it, they did it! Since we didn't have any experience hosting weddings, I would have had no idea of all the coordination that was necessary. The music was perfect. EVERYONE got up and danced. Comments: On our wedding day, the trio of Marty, Vince, and Anita was really fantastic. They adapted to special requests that we made throughout the night ("please postpone starting the Anniversary Dance since the dancefloor is too packed with the younger crowd at this time"), kept the dancefloor FULL the entire evening, and agreed to continue playing (again, for a very reasonable fee) when we decided to extend our reception until midnight. We got rave reviews from our guests, who ranged from ages 4 to 94. Thanks Marty, Vince, and Anita, for going the extra mile to make our reception unforgettable. They were very professional and organized - we met with them twice as we were getting together all of the specifics for the day of the wedding. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing and had great ideas for how to schedule the events of our day and make it personal with their help. It was great having the whole team to help us with our special day! They have Vince in charge of the music, Marty as the voice, and Anita just made sure that everything went smoothly. They kept the party moving and were very personal with all of our guests. I thought they were a great value for the price that we paid! At all of our meetings with them prior to the wedding, they were extremely thorough in discussing every possible thing we might need to know for the reception. Their energy and genuine interest in our satisfaction made us look forward to each meeting with them. The evening of the reception we didn't think about a thing - Marty, Vince and Anita had EVERYTHING covered! They were so on top of it. Even being the control freak and perfectionist that I am - I didn't have to obsess about a thing, because they had it covered. Marty's style and personality made our guests feel welcomed and comfortable and a part of the party - which was exactly what we wanted! Even though my husband and I left the reception an hour before we had to be out of the hall, they stayed and played through the hour for all of our guests. If you haven't already hired a Master of Ceremonies and DJ - DO IT! Comments: DC Sound is a great DJ service. They were very helpful in the planning process, and they were on time and professional. It was great to have a three-man team: Vince spun the tunes, Marty was emcee and Marty's wife Anita made sure that everyone was in their proper places for various events (first dance, cake cutting, etc). They played all the music I asked and kept the dance floor hopping. We even had guests come over from other ballrooms in the hotel because our DJ was so awesome! Our Comment: Dan is on the board for the DJ Associate of Western Pennsylvania. He takes great care to get to know his clients wants and needs, and is a terrific DJ. Dan is a featured performer with one of the larger agencies in Pittsburgh at a much higher price, but you can hire him directly through my referral and save BIG!

Quality of Service: Dan is a constant professional. Maintains a clean cut professional appearance and is very professional and was/is very courteous when interacting with us and our guests. His equipment is top notch and tailored for doing weddings. For example, Dan's music is on a laptop and he uses a download service so his music selection is limitless, his speakers are Bose towers with a very nice sleek design and small footprint and put out excellent sound with a great range. At least for us, Dan’s service went far beyond what one would expect from a DJ. Dan kept our entire event on- track and on-schedule. Comments: Dan Davis comes highly recomended. He was very detail oriented, and structured which was very helpful to us! He was also very accomodating. He was quick to come meet us during the planning stages instead of asking us to come meet him, which helped out a great deal! He played all of the songs we requested (some of which were not so traditional). And he not only was able to find songs that aren't so traditional but also was able to modify the length of songs to make them fit appropriatly into our ceremony as well as reception! He Lengthened, shortened and even blended songs for us!! Great service! highly recomended.
